Objective
To evaluate the effectiveness of Fulvic Gold as a natural soil conditioner and fertilizer in enhancing the vegetative growth and yield of banana and corn plants across a range of application rates.
PLEASE NOTE: The results presented in this case study were based on trials using a solid-form humate.ย Fulvic Gold is a liquid formulation derived from the same humate source, optimized to deliver high concentrations of bio-available fulvic acids for efficient uptake and ease of use. While formulation differs, the underlying active compounds and source material remain the same.
Trial Design
A completely randomized design (CRD) was used across 16 test units (4 treatments x 4 replicates), each planted in individual pots:
- T1: No Fulvic Gold (Control)
- T2: 1 tonne/ha
- T3: 2 tonnes/ha
- T4: 3 tonnes/ha (highest rate)
Each plant was monitored at 30, 60, and 90 days for key growth parameters, including:
- Leaf count
- Plant height
- Leaf size (length & width)
- Stem circumference
- Fruit size and weight (for corn)
Key Results
๐ Banana Growth (90 Days)
- Leaf Count: T4 produced 10 leaves vs. 5.5 in control
- Height: T4 reached 105.25 cm, more than double T1
- Leaf Length: Increased from 29.5 cm (T1) to 69.25 cm (T4)
- Stem Circumference: Jumped from 7.5 cm (T1) to 15.88 cm in T4
๐ฝ Corn Growth & Yield (90 Days)
- Height: T4 reached 134.25 cm, vs. 20.5 cm in control
- Fruit Length: 24.5 cm in T4 (vs. 0 cm in T1 & T2)
- Fruit Weight: T4 yielded 114.92 g per cob, with no yield in T1/T2
- Leaf Size: Corn treated with Fulvic Gold had wider, longer leaves for better photosynthesis
๐ท Visual Results
Photos from the greenhouse (pages 11โ16) show clear visual differences in plant health, with T4 plants being visibly larger, greener, and more robust than control or lower-rate treatments.
Conclusion
Fulvic Gold application at 3 tonnes per hectare delivers significant improvements in plant growth, vigor, and yield across multiple crops. In this controlled greenhouse environment, Fulvic Gold outperformed conventional fertilizer use, particularly in banana and corn production.
